I am attaching draft PICS, MICS, TICS and PIXIT forms (they are being changed) which are being used to define in detail a given product under test. A cover page will be written for each of these forms and they will be updated and posted as public documents on the UCAIug Web Site on April 25 (next week). The Testing Subcommittee had recently reviewed these forms and agreed that they should be made public. The authors will be listed as the Testing Subcommittee and users may ask questions or make comments through helpdesk@ucausersgroup.org and the queries will then be routed to the correct individual for resolution. The forms are written for implementation testers and experts, and so may not be very useful to a utility engineer who wants to buy a product. I will also send you the latest version of the Testing Quality Assurance Program Addendum for IEC 61850. It covers how testing is done for IEC 61850 products and maps the conformance blocks to test cases. Note that the UCAIug has identified several future documents for IEC 61850 that would be intended to be used by implementers and users. I believe that these would be the ideal documents you are asking about. The first one would be the "IEC 61850 Implementation Agreement" and would cover, by function, all of the services and recommendations for Tissues and options so there could be interoperability between devices for vendors following the agreement. The second one would be a "Specification Guide for IEC 61850" and would be used by utilities for procurement of the products they are interested in. But these are for future work. We are currently very busy updating the IEC 61850 Server Test Procedures and have just recently developed the IEC 61850 Client Test Procedures (Version 1.0). The test procedures are only made available to Users Group members. I hope this helps, Let me know if you have any other questions. If there is a need and an interest in moving ahead with some of the future documents, let me know. We can then take action on these. As a matter of fact, nobody is interoperable on the status of the version 1.0 of the standard (i.e. the XML Schema is not OK), everybody is on an intermediate status described somewhere in the Tissue Database and Version 2 is still pending and will be - for sure - not 100% error-free as well. so I expect, after the distribution of V2 we will have the same issue again. But a utility knowing this circumstance wants to tender IEC 61850 projects with interoperable devices and make a paper pased on the actual state. But, there are no official iec-papers available, where they can get the actual status from. Now the question: Is there a possibility the get an actual status summary or description from The UCAIug Testing Committee, where - in principle - such information might be available. - do you have such a summary - which way a national WG10 mirror committee can get it? I am supposed to ask you if the UCAIug can provide such a paper or summary or help to solve this issue.
